Review Policy

I am not currently accepting any unsolicited books for review but am working with a few different book tour hosts as well as reading through my extensive TBR pile of already acquired books. If things change and I decide to accept books for review I will state so here. If you email me asking for a review please do not take it personally when I say no.
This being said I am always happy to interact with authors and fellow readers in whatever capacity I can! If you would like to send me an email with information about your book(s) I would be happy to discuss posting information about your book or a guest post (you can email me at The genres I am interested in are:
Historical Fiction
Historical Nonfiction
General Fiction
Chick Lit
Literary Fiction
Please understand that agreeing to spotlight your book or run a guest post is at my discretion and if I do not think your book(s) would be a good fit for the blog I will say so.  If I do agree to post please note that your post will have to be formatted and edited and include all the information about the book you wish me to share as well as author information, links to where to purchase the books, author sites, etc. This blog is for fun and my way to share my love of reading with others, not my full time job (I have one of those as well), so I won't have time to edit the post and search for links.
Please note that if I agree to run a post you should share that post on your social media once it goes live and I will do the same. This will help bring more attention to your books as well as this blog and is a win/win for both of us.

  1. Hi, Colleen,
Would you be interested in interviewing me about my very first book? Entitled "Pearl's Party...and you're invited," it's a romp through eight decades of my late mother's wild life. She was divorced in 1959 and navigated her way through the go-go 60s and beyond as a single mom, dog groomer, restaurateur, and party animal. I promise to adhere to all of your requests about formatting and social media if you choose to host me in any way. Thanks!

    1. I'd be happy to run an interview with you! Please email me at with a book synopsis and we'll work on getting something scheduled. Thanks for reaching out to me!

  2. Hi Colleen. My visionary novel, Trusting the Currents, is a B.R.A.G. Medallion recipient, as well as 11 other book awards (please visit Amazon for the full listing), and currently garners 78 Amazon reviews with a 4.8 average. It's been compared to The Color Purple and Beloved by Kirkus. It is my debut novel, probably my only novel, completely unexpected. Trusting the Currents was recently a Bookbub Featured Deal. Although the book defies genre, it fits within your General Fiction and Literary Fiction genres. I would appreciate a review once you open your review process again. Here is the Amazon link. Please let me know if you need more info. Thank you! Lynnda Pollio
